I played the part as Senior Director of Digital Experience and Engagement on this VIP experience while at the world -class experiential agency, George P. Johnson. Overlooking the beautiful Sugarloaf Mountain on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro the exclusive venue, ‘Casa Cisco’ serves as the primary hospitality showcase for valued Cisco customers and partners during the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The experience allowed guests to connect, and engage in meaningful conversation around the work Cisco is doing to support the games and digitally transform both the city of Rio and the world as a whole.
From a content strategy point of view there were four chapters to the story throughout this experience: the story of urban innovation, social innovation, Team Brazil, and that of the athlete ambassadors themselves. Taking the lead on the digital landscape, I worked with stakeholders to tell these stories with various levels of detail to compliment the flow the physical space and the lightly guided experience map.

Leaving a long-lasting renewed legacy.
The end product provided a rich story of Cisco’s dedication to Brazil, and the Olympics as a premiere partner. This was punctuated by various activations; real-time data feeds showing Cisco at the Olympics and their network in action, VR Rio experience, “Hear the City” Engagement, Interactive Cisco timeline, and breathtaking photo ops for social media. From a production/development point of view, we worked around the clock with internal teams and external partners and agencies spread throughout the world. In the spirit of their “Connected Rio, Connected World” tagline this experience came together in just under two years including the upgrades to the Circulo Militar into the resort-like Casa Cisco experience complete with renown Brazilian muralist, Ficore providing a colorful backdrop.

Digital Experience Optimization: Oversee the design and enhancement of digital interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive, responsive, and accessible. Implement best practices in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT and technology teams to evaluate, select, and implement digital tools, platforms, and systems that enable seamless user experiences and engagement.
Content Strategy: Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with brand messaging and resonates with the target audience across various digital platforms, including websites, social media, and mobile apps.
Data Analytics and Insights: Utilize data analytics to track user behavior, engagement metrics, and conversion rates. Apply insights to refine digital strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Digital Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to create and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
Compliance and Security: Ensure digital properties comply with relevant regulations, data privacy laws, and security standards. Mitigate digital risks and vulnerabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer support, to align digital initiatives with broader business objectives.
Reporting and KPIs: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the performance of digital initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders.
